How I work

Six steps, always the same, from a large business app to a five-page website. You know where we are and what's left.

  1. Analysis

We talk, I look at how you work today (spreadsheets included) and write down what the software has to do, in plain English, before any code. The analysis is free.

  2. Quote

Price and timing in writing. Large projects are split into milestones, paid one at a time. If something changes along the way, we work it out again together.

  3. Prototype

A first clickable version, to try with the people who will really use it. Changes are cheap at this point.

  4. Development

Frequent releases on a test address: you watch the software grow and we fix things straight away.

  5. Delivery

Going live, importing your old data and, if needed, training for the people who use it.

  6. Maintenance

Updates, daily backups and the changes you need when the company changes.

For the first call

You don't need to prepare anything special. If you have a spreadsheet, old software or a site to rebuild, send it to me beforehand: a real file says more than a description. You can attach it to the contact form.

Prices

There are no price lists on the site. The analysis is free; the price comes afterwards, with the quote. Large projects are split into milestones, each with its own price and its own payment.

After delivery

Software needs updates and a server to run on. I can take care of both: the hosting plans, basic and advanced, and the 24/7 cover are explained in Servers and hosting.

If one day you want to move to another provider, I give you the code and the database.
