Business web apps built around the way you work.

Custom software for companies: business web apps first, then websites, desktop and phone apps, servers. Italian VAT number, clients anywhere.

What I build

Each service has its own page. The business web app is at the centre: the rest usually grows around it, like the app for people who work on the road or the server it runs on.

All services, including maintenance, SEO and ad campaigns

Selected work

The screens of the software come from test copies filled with made-up data: the clients' data stays where it is. In a call, on request, I can show you more.

All work

How I work

Six steps, always the same, from a large business app to a five-page website. You know where we are and what's left.

  1. Analysis

We talk, I look at how you work today (spreadsheets included) and write down what the software has to do, in plain English, before any code. The analysis is free.

  2. Quote

Price and timing in writing. Large projects are split into milestones, paid one at a time. If something changes along the way, we work it out again together.

  3. Prototype

A first clickable version, to try with the people who will really use it. Changes are cheap at this point.

  4. Development

Frequent releases on a test address: you watch the software grow and we fix things straight away.

  5. Delivery

Going live, importing your old data and, if needed, training for the people who use it.

  6. Maintenance

Updates, daily backups and the changes you need when the company changes.

About me

  • Italian VAT number
  • Part-time at an agency in Switzerland
  • Clients in Italy, Switzerland and elsewhere
  • More than 200 projects delivered

I'm Alex Kovacic, a freelance developer with an Italian VAT number. I've been programming since 2010, and I write business software for companies that at some point stopped trusting their spreadsheets.

I also work part-time at a communication agency in Switzerland. It keeps me close to the people who then have to explain and sell a piece of software, and it shows in the interfaces I design.
