Apps for Android and iOS
For technicians on site and agents on the road: the same data as your business software, in their pocket.
App stores or PWA
The first question is whether the app needs to be in the Apple and Google stores. Often it doesn't: for technicians, agents or shop staff a PWA is enough. It installs from the browser and costs less. The AREAVISION app is built that way: it runs on handheld scanners too, and reads labels over NFC and barcodes with the camera.
A native app is worth it when you want to be found in the stores, or when you need something the phone's browser can't do, such as reading NFC on an iPhone or recording GPS location while the app is closed.
The same data as your business software
An app for people on the road nearly always reads and writes the same database as the office software. I build the app and the APIs behind it, so an order taken at a customer's shows up in the office straight away, and a price changed in the office reaches the phone straight away.
If there's no business software yet, that's where to start: see Custom business web apps.
