Servers and hosting
I set up, update and keep an eye on the servers my clients' sites and software run on. Two plans, basic and advanced, plus 24/7 cover if you need it.
My servers
I have dedicated servers and VPSs at OVH and Hetzner. My clients' sites and business apps run on them; if you need more resources or a server of your own, I set it up from scratch and look after it.
Two plans
The basic plan includes 10 GB of space, email and backups. The advanced plan adds looking after the site: I update it every week and test it after each update. The details are in Website maintenance.
On either plan you can reach me Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 19:00 Italian time.
Backups, renewals and certificates
I take a backup every day. At least once every six months I restore one as a test, to be sure it works when it's needed. A month before your domain or hosting is due for renewal, you get an email. SSL certificates come from Let's Encrypt and renew on their own.
24/7 cover
It can be added to either plan, for an extra monthly fee. If the site or email goes down I get it back up at any hour, and you can call me at night and on Sundays too.
If you want to leave one day
I give you the code, the files and the database, and help you move them to another provider.
Problems I often solve
Move your website to a new host without taking it down
Changing host is scary for two reasons: a site that stays down and emails that go missing. I move the site, the database and the mail, test everything on the new server and switch the address only once it works.
