New businesses in Florence: 50% of website, e-commerce and software

Florence's Chamber of Commerce pays 50%, up to EUR 5,000, of start-up costs for businesses registered from 2025 with at least one partner born in 1991 or later: software, cloud, website, e-commerce and online ads. Costs paid by 31 December 2026.

What it offers

The Florence Chamber of Commerce call is open until 16:00 on 31 December 2026, unless funds run out. After EUR 150,000 of new funding, applications reopened at 15:00 on 14 September 2026. You apply on ReStart with a digital signature, and the Chamber handles applications in order of arrival; any excess goes on a waiting list.

  • a 50% grant, up to EUR 5,000, on a minimum spend of EUR 2,000 plus VAT;
  • EUR 500 more for benefit companies;
  • de minimis rules, with 4% withheld where it applies;
  • the Chamber pays within 60 days.

What counts on the IT side

The digitalisation heading covers business software, hardware, licences and cloud services; smartphones and maintenance don't count. The promotion heading covers logo, website, e-commerce and domain, plus advertising on social media, banners and Google Ads.

Consulting for ordinary administrative or commercial work, legal compliance and overheads are excluded.

What I do

A business that has just opened usually needs two things: a website people can find on Google and a way to handle orders, bookings or customers without scattered spreadsheets. I do them like this:

Since invoices must be paid before applying and by December, we fix the delivery date straight away. With a EUR 5,000 cap on the grant, it's best to start small and do it well.

What I don't do

I don't file the application or check the business's eligibility. This page summarises the Florence Chamber of Commerce's rules and call page, as read on 31 October 2026. The rules still show the May opening: the reopening dates are on the call page, which is the reference.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply?

Micro, small and medium businesses registered with the Florence Chamber from 1 January 2025, with an office or branch in the metropolitan city and at least one partner born on or after 1 January 1991. Those registered only in the REA and past winners of the 2025 call are excluded.

Do I have to pay before applying?

Yes. Costs must be invoiced and paid between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2026, and in any case before applying: invoices and receipts go with the application.

Will any website do?

The rules warn that the Chamber checks the website actually works. A site under construction or an empty page won't do.

Can you be the supplier from outside Tuscany?

Yes: the location rule applies only to the business. Invoices from anyone sharing partners, directors or representatives with the business, or working with it on an ongoing basis, are excluded. Each invoice must be over EUR 150 plus VAT.
