Lombardy's Nuova Impresa grant: website and software paid by 31 December
If you opened a business in Lombardy from 1 June 2025, the region pays 50%, up to EUR 10,000, of software, e-commerce, website and hardware. But costs must be paid before you apply, and by 31 December 2026: the work has to happen in the next two months.

What it offers
The call is run by Unioncamere Lombardia and the Lombardy Region, which raised the budget to EUR 11,843,390 on 28 September 2026. Applications go through the ReStart platform from 10:00 on 30 April 2026 to 12:00 on 29 January 2027, in order of arrival, and the window closes early if funds run out.
- a 50% grant, up to EUR 10,000, on a minimum investment of EUR 3,000;
- at most 10 invoices, each at least EUR 250 plus VAT;
- de minimis rules, with 4% withheld from the grant;
- you need SPID, CNS or CIE and the owner's digital signature.
By 3 September 2026, 1,244 applications had asked for EUR 9.2 million. What's left today isn't published.
What counts on the IT side
- business and professional software, licences, cloud and SaaS services, up to 60% of the total (subscriptions count until December 2026);
- an online shop, under the same software heading;
- new hardware, except smartphones and mobile phones;
- website, domain and logo, under the communication plan;
- start-up consulting, including organisation and information systems.
Capital spending (software, hardware and equipment) must be at least half the project, and the grant can't exceed it. If you buy only a brochure website and advertising, the grant may be cut.
The real constraint is the calendar
Since you apply once the work is done, everything has to be delivered, invoiced and paid by 31 December 2026. That's two months from now. A brochure website fits easily, and so does an online shop with the catalogue ready. Custom business software fits only if the first piece is small and clear; the rest comes later, outside the grant.
What I do
I write a quote split into the call's headings, with the online shop separate from the company website, and we set a delivery date that leaves time to pay by December. Then I do the work:
- the brochure website or the online shop;
- an app for bookings or orders, also as a PWA;
- the first piece of business software, if the work doesn't fit a ready-made program.
Invoices are electronic and all above EUR 250, so none falls outside the ten.
What I don't do
I don't file the application or check the business's eligibility. This page summarises the call as updated in October 2026, the October FAQ and the regional decision of 28 September 2026, as read on 31 October 2026. The call on Unioncamere Lombardia's site is the reference.
Frequently asked questions
Can I apply before spending?
No. You apply with the costs already reported: by then they must be incurred and paid, and the goods delivered. Invoices must be paid by 31 December 2026 and the application sent by 12:00 on 29 January 2027.
Do a website and an online shop count the same?
No. According to the October 2026 FAQ, e-commerce goes under software, as capital spending, and a company website under the communication plan, as running costs. This matters because capital spending must be at least half the total.
Who can apply?
Micro, small and medium businesses with registered and operating offices in Lombardy, registered from 1 June 2025; self-employed people with a VAT number opened from 1 June 2025 and tax residence in Lombardy; and registered professionals who started work no more than four years ago. Agriculture, fishing, finance and insurance are among the exclusions.
Can you be the supplier?
Yes: the call has no supplier list. It excludes suppliers linked to the business, such as partners, directors and their close relatives, and I'm not one. Each invoice must be electronic, at least EUR 250 plus VAT, and paid by a traceable method.
