Italian digitalisation grants 2027: be ready when the window opens

How 2026 went

• Piedmont, SME digitalisation voucher: EUR 19.2 million, opened at 11:00 on 22 October, closed at 17:00 because applications passed 120% of the funds.
• Lombardy, Double Transition voucher: EUR 4.46 million, submissions from 11:00 on 28 July, closed for every participating Chamber at 10:09 the next day.
• Lombardy, SI4.0: EUR 5 million for Bergamo, Brescia and Milan, 1 to 25 September, 50% up to EUR 30,000.
• Lazio, digitalisation voucher: EUR 15 million, closes at 17:00 on 5 November after an extension.
• Tuscany and Abruzzo: windows closed in August and October.

In first-come calls, whoever is ready the minute it opens wins: in Lombardy uploads opened on 8 July, twenty days before submission.

What to have ready

1. SPID, CNS or CIE, a digital signature and certified email, in the name of whoever really signs.
2. An up-to-date company extract, the Chamber fee paid and a clean social security certificate (DURC).
3. Your de minimis ceiling, checked by your accountant.
4. The SELFI 4.0 self-assessment if the call asks for it: do it in the months before applying.
5. A one-page project: how you work today, what changes, what you'll measure.
6. A quote with the names of eligible technologies, the supplier's VAT number and separate items.

Three exclusions to check

Reading this year's calls, three exclusions stop a lot of projects. Websites and SEO are out of the Chamber voucher. SaaS doesn't qualify for the super-depreciation. The cloud voucher accepts listed suppliers only.

Check supplier rules too: for consulting many calls want qualified bodies, or a VAT holder with at least three similar jobs in three years. I'm a VAT holder with more than three such jobs for different clients.

What I prepare

The analysis is free. I leave you a one-page project and a quote split into items, with technologies worded the way the calls word them. If the call comes out, it takes a day to adapt. If it doesn't, you still have a project to decide on.

Frequently asked questions

Which calls will come out in 2027?

Only the publishers know the dates. We know what has repeated recently: Chamber of Commerce vouchers, regional vouchers in Piedmont and Lazio, SI4.0 in Lombardy. Sign up to your Chamber's and Region's newsletters.

Can I get a quote before the call comes out?

Yes, and that's the point of this page. Write it against last year's call and adapt it to the new text. What you mustn't do is start work or pay, because many calls exclude spending before the application.

Will the 2027 budget law bring new calls?

The government approved the bill on 28 October 2026. The Council of Ministers' statement doesn't mention AI or digitalisation vouchers, and the EUR 120 million figure only appeared in articles published before the approval. The text isn't out yet: that's where we'll see.

Is a grants consultant worth it?

On big calls, usually yes. I handle the technical side, and I can work alongside a consultant: they follow the call, I write the project. Beware of sites showing closed calls as open, and always check the official source.
